Internet use is steadily growing in Africa and almost 90% of the population is using mobile phones. This is offering new opportunities to reach the citizens and get feedback from them. We use SMS campaigns to inform citizens on the electoral process and to measure public opinion on certain topics, we collect feedback on our programmes via text messages, and use mobile reporting to raise the voice of the marginalised communities. Via e-learning platforms we allow for peer to peer review and learning.

Mobile phones were used as an integral part of this project, allowing participation by many Kenyans excluded from other forms of media.
